Huidige functieomschrijving

Ik werk als professor huisartsgeneeskunde, aan het Academisch Centrum voor Huisartsgeneeskunde van de KU Leuven en ben mede-oprichter van EPI-Centre. Ik heb ervaring met systematische reviews, onderzoek naar innovaties in de eerste lijn en doelmatig antibioticagebruik in de eerste lijn. Ik heb verschillende projecten geleid omtrent het rationeel voorschrijven van antibiotica bij kinderen in de ambulante zorg, onder andere het ARON project dat momenteel kinderen recruteert in de ambulante zorg verspreid over België, en was juryvoorzitter van de RIZIV-consensusvergadering “Het rationeel gebruik van antibiotica bij het kind in de ambulante praktijk” (2016). Daarnaast ben ik praktiserend huisarts in Leuven en praktijkopleider.
