Ons onderzoeksteam richt zich op de impact van menselijk landgebruik en milieuveranderingen op biodiversiteit, ecosystemen en menselijke gezondheid. Het primaire doel is het ontrafelen van de complexe verbanden tussen veranderende landschappen en het welzijn van zowel ecosystemen als individuen. De overkoepelende doelstelling is bij te dragen aan het behoud, beheer en herstel van biodiversiteit en ecosystemen, en zo de verbetering van de menselijke gezondheid te bevorderen. Onze expertise ligt in het genereren van empirisch bewijs om conservatie-inspanningen te ondersteunen, milieubeheer en beleid te informeren, en uiteindelijk de kwaliteit van het menselijk leven te verhogen.
